Hemp is one of the most ecologically sustainable crops to grow, requiring little or no pesticides and herbicides. It is also naturally mildew resistant.

The hemp used in our rugs comes from Western Nepal. Because it is minimally processed and no chemicals are used to break the fiber down, the hemp in our rugs has a coarse texture. Combined with wool, or wool and silk, the rugs have an appealing multi-textured feel.
